The Young Kings Summit
About the Summit
The Young Kings Summit is a transformative event designed to uplift and empower at-risk young males in underserved communities of Wilmington, NC, and surrounding areas. This summit is dedicated to equipping young Black boys, affectionately referred to as “Young Kings,” with the tools, mentorship, and support needed to overcome challenges and unlock their full potential.
At its heart, the Young Kings Summit fosters a safe and inspiring space where boys aged 12-18 can connect with mentors, community leaders, and peers who are committed to their success. The event includes workshops, interactive sessions, and inspirational talks focused on leadership development, emotional intelligence, life skills, conflict resolution, academic achievement, and career readiness.
The summit also highlights the essential role of families and caregivers. Mothers, fathers, and mentors—our “Guardians of the Kings”—are invited to participate in specialized sessions, empowering them with resources to continue supporting their sons’ journeys long after the summit.
