The Nurse Camp Academy is dedicated to supporting the next generation of Black and underserved nursing professionals in New Hanover County by providing the resources, mentorship, and coaching necessary for successful entry into the nursing field. This unique program focuses on empowering future nurses ages 12-23 with the tools and guidance they need to thrive in healthcare careers.
We offer multiple levels to meet the needs of aspiring nurses at different stages of their journey.
This entry-level program is designed for middle and high school students interested in pursuing nursing. Participants will receive mentoring and guidance in a supportive environment to help them explore the profession. The Nurse Camp Series is offered through out the year, with live and virtual sessions and field trips.
